Hey Hayward family,
I have some family news to share: Joey Frazier has accepted a full-time Youth Director position at Christ Community Church of Milpitas. His last day at Resonate/RESstudents will be this Sunday, October 25.
I know this may come as a shock to many of you. We’re going to miss Joey because we love him and he means so much to our campus. At the same time, we’re excited to see him pursue his calling in full-time ministry. This is a Kingdom win and a win for the Bay Area!
For the last two years, Joey has served as our Hayward Student Ministry Intern. Our internships are about developing people and helping them discern a call to ministry, wherever God leads. We’ve seen that calling in Joey, and we’re proud of him for faithfully taking this next step.
This Sunday, we’ll bring Joey on stage to commission him and pray over him. I hope you’ll join us as we celebrate and send him out!
Ryan Weber, our Central Student Director, and I are working hard to determine who will lead Hayward RESstudents next. Please pray for us, our leaders, students, and families during this transition.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. We’re committed to walking through this transition with care and ensuring our students and families continue to be loved, supported, and discipled well.
Through it all, we can rest in this truth: The Lord is faithful, and He is in control. We’re grateful for what He’s done in and through our time with Joey, and we’re trusting Him for what’s ahead in this next season for our students.
